Taping Natural Ears

The boxer puppy's ears should be taped at the beginning of teething up to and until about 7 months to 1 year of age depending on the dog's ears.  Thinner and higher set ears must be taped longer.

You can combine both methods of taping, for example 1st week piggy tails, 2nd week ear to ear, 3rd week both.  You should also give "free time" for the ears without the tape.  In summer months when it is hot, make sure you check on them frequently so they do not get sore.  If the ears seem to be laying nice, leave the tape off for a few days.  If one starts to look "funky" again, just tape that one.

Use tape that is meant for first-aid or electrical use.
