I have been training my German Shorthaired Pointer Sydney with Chris for just over a year. In just this short time, Chris’s training techniques and coaching have enabled my dog and I to achieve at a high level. We have earned multiple rally titles with high scores and an invitation to AKC Rally Nationals. Our first AKC Companion Dog (CD) leg resulted in High In Trial. Chris has a special talent in tailoring the training techniques to what is needed for that particular dog and handler. His coaching has helped me develop into a better partner and handler for my dog.
Where do you live
I have known Chris for 2 years. I first met Chris when I joined the OG Bierstadt Schutzhund Club in Campbellsport WI. Chris was and still is the president of Bierstadt and is the senior helper at the club. If you know Chris you know that he is a very confident and direct person which is why I believe he is such a good trainer, handler, helper and breeder (if your not familiar with the term helper he is the person who wear the sleeve that the dog bites during the protection phase of a Schutzhund Trial). I have watched Chris as a handler and a helper on the field and again his confidence as he takes command of the field with his team mate is something to see. That is why I drive an hour and a half to train with Chris when I can. His experience is invaluable his own techniques have help me tremendously with my handling. He has pointed me in the right direction so many times when I start using bad habits. He just knows how to read dogs and most importantly how to show you how to be a better handler. Whether you are looking to compete at a higher level, to be a better handler or just to teach your dog basic manners I would recommend Chris.
